LOST DRIVER 3.0 SQUASH TAIL BRO DIMS
Simply put, the DRIVER3.0 features a slightly larger tail rocker and a deeper double to single concave, through the back half, than its predecessor, the Driver2.0. The deck line at the tail is more pronounced, with lower, squarer edges to follow the curve of the bottom and glide smoothly through the water.
More concave means more lift and more rocker in the edge line. More lift means more speed. More rocker on the edge means more curve, for tight scorching turns.
We have narrowed the surfboard, between the feet, adding grip and stability to the profile.
The round tail is quite wide and forgiving under the rear foot, but the last few inches are pulled back enough to add confidence and grip in the pocket.
To balance these design elements (added tail rocker, narrower surfboard, spoon shaped deck and edge rocker) they have carried a little more width in the front outline and volume in the front foot. This front volume adds glide and a more responsive drive, from the front foot.
The DRIVER3.0 is thicker along the line (for paddle power and drive), but has a higher angle "V" deck, which eliminates bulk and ends in a moderate, but rounded and forgiving edge.
Overall, the dimensions and volumes are noticeably a bit more generous.
Like everything else in the design evolution of this surfboard, it is a response to the requests of high-level team riders.
The DRIVER 3.0 is the status quo in high-end, professional performance surfing today. Developed with the guidance, testing and feedback from many of the top surfers in the U.S. and around the world, it has been tested at the best surf spots in the world, yet is designed with enough volume and speed built in to be a viable tool in any surfer's quiver.
