Our recommendation: The FCS 2 Mick Fanning fins fit any surfboard with FCS II system, but we think they are much more suitable for a high performance shortboard.

Mick Fanning has 2 models of FINS within the FCS brand. The Mick Fanning Neo Carbon and the PC Carbon. The difference between the two? The construction material. PC Carbon is made from a material designed for flex - ideal for intermediate to advanced surfers. The Neo Carbon is lighter. These fins are designed to generate speed in smaller conditions.

Mick Fanning's FCS 2 FINS have given us an immediate sense of speed, especially when performing bottom turns. That feeling of speed has been maintained throughout the test. Even in the most choppy conditions Fanning's fins continue to give that feeling of speed that would be difficult to achieve on other fin models. At no time during the days that we tested them did we feel that these fins were not up to the task. Even on the biggest days the result has been excellent.

We are not Mick Fanning, but we can say that Mick Fanning's FCS2 PC Carbon fins control speed very well and generate maximum power in the turns both in the lip of the wave and in the bottom
