Without a doubt the Trifins are the most commonly used fins. They were created by surfer Simon Anderson in 1980 under the name Thruster. A year later Simon would demonstrate his efficiency by winning the Bells, Surfabout and Pipeline tests. The Australian shaper won no less than four titles with the novelty of the three keels.
This third fin gives more speed to the board and makes manoeuvring easier. A perfect mix between the precision of the single fin and the speed of the twin fins. Ideal for more radical maneuvers and large waves. By cons, speed and grip is not the best configuration for tubes.
