Swedish architect Sven Markelius was known for his sober geometric figures, often playing with repeated patterns and asymmetrical compositions, so it's not surprising that he found inspiration for his 'Pythagoras' textiles in the work of the Greek mathematician famous for his equations describing triangular shapes. Stacking fields of triangles of different shades with open-framed areas reminiscent of windows, these patterns create a prismatic color field that reveals the material behind it. With contours brought from the limits of progressive surfboard design, these models embrace the future without forgetting the past, raising the curtain on what lies ahead.
That double-diamond outline puts more wood under your feet for a deeper heel-to-toe concave with more power transfer, while the medium wheelbase gives you just the right spot between snappy and stable.
