Matt Biolos has done it again and come up with a winner! Always looking for ways to push his shapes, the latest to be delivered is the ...Lost Surfboards Driver 3.0.
Lost Surfboard Driver 3.0
This one was born in the latest STAB's in the Dark, Stab in the Dark 2022 high performance blind test series with pro surfer Jack Robinson. It was no easy task to make podium and this surfboard finished in second place with razor thin margins, but that was the final decision of world tour surfer Jack Robinson.
One thing we are sure of, after watching the Stab in the Dark footage and listening to Robinson is that ...Lost Driver 3.0 has speed, momentum and fast turn to go where you want it to go almost in a split second.
The nice thing about this board is that the outline and rocker and other elements are easy to use, and it doesn't have scary dimensions, so even though it's a short board in performance, it shouldn't be something to run away from.
It's also similar to the Driver 2.0 in some ways, such as the rocker from the Driver series of surfboards, which will provide instant speed in touch. The tail is tucked in a bit, which gives the ability to go deep into turns and push the limits of the Driver 3.0.
We talk about user-friendly elements and these are found in the foam, centrally distributed and exiting towards the rails, which provides paddling speed and entry into the waves. And most importantly, without losing performance.
What wave should you surf with a Driver 3.0?
Waves from just above waist height to well overhead. It would fit perfectly with a hollowed out bowling wave; also with a bigger open-faced wave with power.
What about surfing skills?
If you're an intermediate surfer, meaning decent, all the way up to a very skilled or advanced surfer, this board can be a great fit and you'll have a lot of fun with it. You'll only know when you give it a try.
