Carbon Wrap by Lost Surfboards

The "Carbon Wrap" system is a technology patented by Lost that eliminates the "Stringer" of wood that runs all over the board in its central part. Originally created by Gold Coast surfboard manufacturer Dan MacDonald, Carbon Wrap technology allows you to get first class performance from the surfboards that incorporate it.

The suppression of the stringer results in a change in its board flexibility. This stringer, nerve or soul of the board is replaced by carbon bands, which are strategically placed from the nose of the board to its tail. The carbon acts as a rear foot power point, (increasing steering and control) and also acts as a patch to minimize dents from foot pressure.
